Amy E. Steele, Ph.D. is a social ethicist, ordained minister, and certified spiritual director. She is a passionate teacher, a public speaker, workshop facilitator, and mediator. She has 25+ years in leading conversations and teaching courses on religion and society, prayer, spiritual formation, Black religious history, women’s civil rights engagement, Howard Thurman, global Black spirituality, and more. She deeply values listening, asking well-placed questions, honoring histories, and curating stories for soulful well-being. Most importantly, she is the mother of one beautiful college-aged son.
