CSA-Community Supported Agriculture

What is a CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) connects our farms directly with you. It is subscription based farming where members purchase a share in the harvest and are supplied weekly with a wonderful variety of the finest farm fresh, naturally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, free-range eggs, pastured poultry (chicken, turkey, etc), free range Piedmontese beef, heirloom pork and grass-fed lamb. Our Spring/Summer program runs mid-April through mid-October for a total of 26 weeks. Actual start date will be determined by weather. All of our produce is fresh-picked, washed and promptly delivered in order to ensure maximum freshness, ripeness and flavor. All of our poultry and meat products are traditionally raised in their natural environments on lush green pastures without the use of antibiotics, hormones or preservatives. Our produce is pesticide free, wherever possible. Share boxes are delivered to convenient pick-up points (see registration form for a location suitable to you). Each delivery you will receive a newsletter with great recipes and news from the farm. New members who sign up will also receive a complimentary cookbook of farm fresh recipes written by us!

Who Are We?
Avalon Acres Farm is a beautiful 122-acre property located in Middle Tennessee. Three years ago, we started producing pasture raised chicken and turkeys as well as free range eggs, pork and lamb using drug and chemical free, sustainable farming methods. Demand for our products increased so rapidly that we sought out and developed a network of small, like-minded, family owned farms to help us meet the need. The result is naturally flavorful, healthy local Tennessee foods from our family of farmers to you. This is the food chain at its shortest – you, the consumer, dealing directly with us, the farmers.
